I love feature-writing for newspapers and magazines, not only because it gives me a chance to respond quickly to stories in the week's news but also because I get to see what I've done in print straight away, rather than waiting a year for a book to come out!

Most of it is about family life, or comments on news stories, but I'm hoping to be able to write slightly more in-depth features as times goes on, and as I get better at it. Journalistic writing is very different from writing books, and it takes a lot of practice...
